Born December 26, 1934, in Cameron, SC, David was the son of the late Samuel Jacob Summers, Jr. and the late Fair Snelson. Read More	David Leroy Summers December 26, 1934-January 31, 2018 Conway Mr. David Leroy Summers, 83, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his home following an extended illness. Born December 26, 1934, in Cameron, SC, David was the son of the late Samuel Jacob Summers, Jr. and the late Fair Snelson. Affectionately known as "Pop" to his family and friends, David spent over 40 years shaping his business, The Daisy Fair Flowers, into a successful household name. He was dedicated to serving Conway's blushing brides, grieving families, and his community with pride. His strong work ethic was always paired with a smile. He loved to travel the world, and his destination of choice would always be Key West. David also served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. His family would like to express gratitude to St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Regency Hospice, and the hundreds of people who participated in the greeting card campaign on his behalf. His legacy will continue through The Daisy Fair Flowers in the years to come. He was predeceased by his son, Bobi Summers; his brothers, Samuel L. Summers and Thomas S. Summers; and his sisters, Caroline S. Prather and Nell S. Heriot. Survivors include his grandchildren, Brandi S. Hooks and husband Patrick of Conway and Katelyn M. Summers of Charlotte; his great-grandson, Shepperd Hooks; and his sister, Anne S. Turner of Greenville. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2:00PM at the First United Methodist Church of Conway, officiated by Rev. Kyle Randle and Rev. Rob Donehue.
