He lived in the same county and neighborhood until February 1882, when he came with his son, T. A. Huston to Geneva, Fillmore County Nebraska, and lived with him two miles south of Geneva, until his death, which occurred November 24th, 1884, which makes him 83 years, 4 months and 4 days old. Father Huston belonged to the M. E. Church many years and was a great lover of the Bible, but for quite a number of years from a stroke of paralysis, his mind was badly affected, but was always clear on the subject of religion as long as he lived. When he appeared entirely delirious, speak to him of Jesus and he would say that “I know Him, He is my Saviour and my God.” He leaves a large number of friends to mourn his loss, but his loss is his eternal gain.
