Description	:	Mr. David Mack Harvey, age 83, husband of Jenny Lynn Harvey of 106 Lakeview Heights, Union, SC died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at his home. Mr. Harvey was born in Union, SC November 11, 1925, a son of the late Frank Simpson Harvey and Edith McDaniel Harvey. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was a retired textile worker. Mr. Harvey was a Veteran of the U.S. Mariens having served in World War II. He was a member of Gilead Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mr. Harvey was born in Union, SC November 11, 1925, a son of the late Frank Simpson Harvey and Edith McDaniel Harvey. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was a retired textile worker. Mr. Harvey was a Veteran of the U.S. Mariens having served in World War II. He was a member of Gilead Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Alice Faye Graham of Leesville, SC; two step-daughters: Sherry Lawson of Union and Harriet Williams of Chesnee; two step-sons: Melvin Linder of Union and Steve Linder of Lockhart; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Mr. Harvey was predeceased by a son, David Earl Harvey; six sisters and five brothers. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Lawton Neely. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brian Williams, Chris Williams, Jamie Johnson, Jason Linder, Nic Linder, Jesse Linder and Michael Linder. The following are asked to sit in a group: the Staff of Hospice Care of South Carolina-Union Unit, Donald Lee Bobo and Sonny and a special friend, Patricia Ann Fortner. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:15 PM Thursday at the church prior to the service. The family is at the home, 106 Lakeview Heights, Union, SC 29379.
