Mr. Roderick was born Oct. 16, 1909, at Rockwell, son of Marion and Ethel (Anshutz) Roderick. He was married to Ellen Sweeney April 3, 1932, at Dougherty. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. T.C. (Mary Margaret) Czajka, Chicago; a son, Donald, at home; and three grandchildren. Four brothers, Robert, Seattle, Dan, Manchester, N.H., Richard, Mason City, and Lyle, Fort Dodge; and three sisters, Mrs. James Anderson, Mason City, Mrs. Harold (Katheryn) Smith, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Mullan, Mason City, also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, two brothers and a sister. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty. Roderick, 52, former Dougherty resident who died Tuesday at Elmhurst, Ill., were held Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dougherty. The Rev. Maurice Mullan, Cedar Falls, officiated. John Murphy was crossbearer, Bob Dougherty and John McLaughlin, acolytes. Pallbearers were James Murphy, Ray McLaughlin, Glen Klatt, Dan McLaughlin, Walt Murphy and Emil Soucek. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty. The Hogan-McKee Funeral Home was in charge.
