Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 7, at the Reformed Church of Alton with the Rev. Raymond Tilstra and the Rev. Robert Vander Schaaf officiating. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, four sons, Mark of Orange City, Paul and Lee of Alton and Nolan of Wayne, New Jersey; three daughters, Jean Foreman of Fremont, Nebraska, Lois Van Roekel of Hudson and Deanne Den Herder of Sioux Center; three brothers, Andrew of Tyndall, South Dakota, and Bert of Avon, South Dakota; two sisters, Hilda Los of Delevan Wisconsin, and Alvina Wynia of Tyndall; and 17 grandchildren.
