David Paul Bix, son of George Bix, Jr. and Pamelia Anna Gant Bix, was born near Siam, Iowa, in Taylor County August 20, 1907. He grew to maturity in Mason Township where he attended the public school and the Siam Christian Church. He was united in marriage to Nina Apple at Nebraska City, Nebraska, and they lived in Mason Township where he followed the occupation of a farmer. To them were born three children, Robert Paul Bix, Donald J. Bix and Betty [Lorene] Bix Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Donald J. Bix. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert Paul Bix, of Clarinda, Iowa; daughter, Betty [Lorene] Bix Webb, of Clarksville, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Bix, and William Bix; two sisters, Zelma [Ann] Moellenberndt and Mae Thurman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was a member of the Siam Christian Church. Paul will be remembered as a person who was patient in a long illness, and he will be missed by loved ones and friends.
