Dumler, 83, who lived in Russell since 1938, after retiring from farming which had been his occupation all his life. He is survived by his wife, Edith, of the home, Mrs. Elma Brack, Mrs. Ruth Reitz (sic), Albert M. Dumler, Ferdinand D. Dumler and William E. Dumler, all of Russell and Mrs. Eulalia Titus of Casper, Wyo. and three step children, Ernest Shenk, of Pratt, Mrs. Barbara Nelson of Wichita and Mrs. Grace Joseph, of San Francisco, Calif. Also 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Dumler was the last surviving member of his family that came to this country as early day pioneers from the State of Samaria, Russia. He had been a hospital patient several times and was bedfast the past 18 months at his home at 307 East Seventh Street. Deines Brothers will have charge of the funeral services which will be held Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. from the Funeral Home and at 2:30 p.m. from the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Milberger with the Rev. A. Traugott in charge. Burial will be in the Milberger Cemetery." His funeral card reads: David R. Dumler David R. Dumler, 305 E. 7th Street, passed away at his home Saturday, February 7, 1959. He was 83 years old. He was born March 3, 1875, in Bloomenfeld, Russia. At the age of three he came to KS with his parents and settled on a farm in Russell Co.. He was confirmed at the age of 14 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Milberger. He was united in marriage to Sarah Schwindt, January 22, 1908. To this union six children were born. His wife, Sarah, passed away in January 1943. On June 21, 1953, he was married to Mrs. Edith Shenk. Living most of his life on a farm in Winterset township in Russell Co., he was devoted to his faith through his church in the Milberger community. He was a life long member of the church and took an active part in holding various offices on the board. He is survived by his wife Edith of the home, three sons, Albert and Ferdinand of Russell and William of Arvada, Colorado; three daughters, Mrs. Sam Brack (Elma), Mrs. Emil Dietz (Ruth, of Russell, and Mrs. Frank Titus (Eulalia) of Casper, Wyoming; three step children, Ernest Shenk of Pratt; Mrs. Barbara Nelson of Wichita; and Mrs. Grace Joseph of San Francisco, Calif. Also 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. All brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
