David married Louisa Heinricka HILZ in about 1885 in Johannestal, Beresan, Odessa, South Russia. The couple was blessed with no less than 8 children. David at the age of 42 with his wife, Louisa and their children; Christian, Wilhelm, Karl, Andreas, John, Louise, Friedrich and Benjamin, immigrated to America via the Port of Hamburg, Germany on the 3rd of November 1903 aboard the SS "Pisa" and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on the 20th of November 1903. The ship's manifest also revealed that David had 3,000 dollars in his pocket when he arrived in America. David SAILER's death in December 1914 in Stark County, North Dakota was accidental. NOTE: As per Steve Sailer, David SAILER upon his arrival at Ellis Island, New York changed their family surname to "SEILER".
