Description	:	David Cozzens, 69, of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at his home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS and the United States Navy. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Turner, Brian McQuistion, Steve Reding, Lyle Haylett, Jeff Rabuck, Duffy Dorner, and Norm Jaeger. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 am to the service time at the funeral home. David William Cozzens was born on August 19, 1948 in Clinton, the son of Charles and Mary (Thompson) Cozzens. He was a 1966 graduate of Clinton High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1967-1971 serving time on the USS Enterprise during Vietnam. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he attended and graduated from Scott Community College receiving a associates degree in engineering in 1973. Dave married Sandra Kokjohn on September 6, 1969 in Clinton. He was employed at French & Hecht in Davenport from 1974-1979, and later with Custom Pak as a design engineer from 1979 until retiring in April 2014. He enjoyed reading, and going to sporting events to watch his grandchildren, and doing aquacises at the YWCA. Dave is survived by his wife: Sandy of Clinton; three children: Shane Cozzens of Eldridge, Tara (Jody) Still of Clinton, and Christian (Marlena) Cozzens of Clinton; six grandchildren: Mason, Payton, Merick, Brielle, Addison, and Parker; his sister: Gail (Lyle) Haylett of Nashville, brother: John Kokjohn of Clinton, and sister-in-law: Mary Beth Kokjohn of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, mother, and his brother: Bruce Kokjohn. Memorials can be made to the family. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory, Clinton
