Description	:	Dave Willis was one of 10 white men killed during the Pinhook Indian fight in the La Sal Mountains east of Moab, Utah. A band of Ute/Paiute Indians had killed three white men near Dove Creek, Colorado and were pursued by men primarily from the Rico, Mancos and Durango area. The Indians admitted to losing about 20 men in the battle. The white victims were buried where they fell, but two of the victims, including Dave Willis, were disinterred and reburied elsewhere.
