Description	:	MACDONALD (Veinotte), Dawn Elaine - 84, formerly of 1666 Larch St., Halifax, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2007, in Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage. Dawn was born on September 1, 1923, in West Dublin, Lunenburg Co. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was the only daughter of the late Norman Seaforth and Bernice (Veinotte) Veinotte, and stepmother, Bertha (Wentzell, Lohnes) Veinotte. Mom is survived by son, N. George (Jane) of Warsaw, Ind.; and daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Trites of Dartmouth; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Douglas, Jacob of Warsaw, Ind.; Jessica and Sarah of Dartmouth. She is also survived... She is also survived by nieces, nephews and their families. Dawn was predeceased by her husband, Douglas M. Macdonald; her brother, D. Brenton Veinotte, and sister-in-law, Ferne A. (Mosher) Veinotte. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax, where visitation will take place Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Katherine Bourbonniere and Rev. Lorraine Quinn officiating. A private family interment will occur in Camp Hill Cemetery, Halifax, following the service. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Ocean View Manor Society for the years of excellent love, care and kindness they provided to their mother. If so desired, donations to Ocean View Manor Society, Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
