Description	:	Edmund Freeman was the son of Edmund Freeman and Kezia . He was a graduate of Harvard, class of 1736, and became a deacon. He married Martha Otis and they had a large family. The first were born in Sandwich or Harwich, Massachusetts and the latter ones were born in Mansfield, Tolland Co., Connecticut. Their children were: Edmund (d.y.) Nathaniel (d.y.) He was educated at Cambridge, and graduated in 1733. Massachusetts Mercury (Boston, MA), March 28, 1800, p. 3: Died, At Mansfield, in Connecticut, deacon Edmund Freeman, A. M. in the 89th year of his age. He graduated at Harvard University, 1733, was many years a member of the Legislature in that Sate, was much respected, and although he lived to a great age, he retained his intellectual faculties to the last moment, when he closed the scene of a well spent life without a groan or struggle, and greatly lamented. He hath left, except one who died in infancy, all his children, nine in number, to survive him.
