Read More	Dean Burton Linder, 84, died Sunday, April 29, 2001, at the Keokuk County Heath Center in Sigourney following a brief illness. He was born Oct. 31, 1916 near Sigourney to Bert and Ella Kleinschmidt Linder. He attended country school and Sigourney High School. He served in the United States Army in the South Pacific during World War II. On June 15, 1949, he married Roberta Stein in Lancaster Mo. He lived and farmed near Sigourney until moving to the Sigourney Care Center in January 2000. He was a member of the I.O.O.F., American Legion Post #19, Lacey Kerr V.F.W. Post #2308 and enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and mushroom hunting. He is survived by five children: Gailen Jennings, Mary Dicken, Ellen Clinton, Bonnie Barnhart and Connie Wiley; 10 grandchildren,, several great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild; a sister, Margaret Hollingsworth; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Roberta in 1996; a son, Ronald D. Jennings; and four grandchildren. Family graveside services will be held at Pennington cemetery.
