Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the pastor, Rev. T. R. Layton, officiating. Three hymns, "Jesus is Calling", "Some Day We'll Understand" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere", were sung by a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. A. W. McFadden, Mrs. G. P. McFadden, Dr. P. S. Struble and Guy L. Bereman the piano Accompaniments. Burial was made in the Holyoke Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers were John Zeiler Jr., Wesley Siedenberg, Harold Linnenbrink and Corwin Wood. Dean Edward Church was born September 25, 1935 at Holyoke. At the time of his death, he was three years, nine months and 25 days old. He resided with his parents on a farm 11 miles southeast of Holyoke until Feb. 16, 1938, when the family moved into Holyoke and established a home. He was a member of the primary department of the Sunday school of the First Baptist church. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick A. Church; two brothers, Frederick Eugene, five, and Donald Duane, age one year; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs A. R. Church and Mrs. Minnie Matzen; his aged maternal grandmother, Mrs. Magdalena "Lena" Miller; six aunts; six uncles; seven cousins, and many other relatives.
