Dean was born May 20, 1925 in Missouri Valley. He graduated from Mondamin High School in 1942, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Dean was married to Florence Teresa Lyons in New York, Dec. 30, 1950, and moved to Harrison County. Dean was a farmer and operated construction and trucking businesses. Florence died May 3, 2006. Dean was married to Ethel (Reiling) Morrow, Oct. 14, 2006 in Mondamin. He enjoyed antique tractors and cars, and playing cards with his friends. He loved to fly and owned his own plane. Dean was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Mondamin. Dean was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florence; sister, Edith; and brother, Glenn. Survivors include: his wife, Ethel (Morrow) Faylor, Mondamin; sons, Tim and his wife, Linda, Magnolia; Jim, Omaha; daughters, Mary Patricia Fulton and her husband, Rick, Omaha; Anne Turone and her husband, Rick, Omaha; grandchildren, Jill Frederick and her husband, Jim, and their children, Maggie and MacKenzie, Jay Faylor, Kerry Faylor, Maureen Fulton, Joel Fulton, Catie Faylor, Sarah Faylor, Nicolas Turone, Harrison Turone, Michael Turone; step-children, Sheryl Boyen and her husband, Arnie, Exira; Terry Lampe and his wife, Jan, Sac City; Mary Garnas, Omaha; Cindi Ohl and her husband, Dennis, Dow City; Doug Lampe and his wife, Lesli, Underwood, Wash.; Pat Lampe and his wife, Vickie, Dunlap; Luann Ryon and her husband, Ward, St. Joseph, Mo.; Kim Hoffmeier and her husband, James, Charter Oak; Tami Coenen, Des Moines; and 33 step-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Apr. 1 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mondamin, Rev. Fr. Paul Strittmatter, S.J., celebrant. Organist was Joann Hodgson; vocalist was Brenda Marshall. Honorary Bearers were: Mike Stoltz, Ron Griffith, Malvern Wallis, Darrel Hansen, Bill Myers, Jerry Arndt, Milo Ruffcorn, and Wally Ruffcorn. Casket Bearers were: All of Dean's Grandchildren. Interment was in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Magnolia. Military Honors were conducted by Post No. 378, American Legion, Mondamin. Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home, Missouri Valley, was in charge of arrangements.
