He was born Oct. 14, 1921, in Wabash County to Francis W. and Jennie L. (Morford) Krom. He married Ruth Hamilton on March 27, 1947, and she survives. Krom, 85, Indianapolis, died at 3:58 p.m. Sept. 11, 2007, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born Oct. 14, 1921, in Wabash County to Francis W. and Jennie L. (Morford) Krom. He married Ruth Hamilton on March 27, 1947, and she survives. Mr. Krom was co-owner of Dean Krom Co. for 30 years. He worked at Carter-Lee Lumber, Indianapolis, for five years prior to starting his own business in 1960. He was a member of Hanna Lodge No.61 F.& A.M., Wabash, for more than 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church, Indianapolis. He is also survived by a niece, Dorcas (LeRoy) Bishop, North Manchester. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Krom, who died in 1958, and a sister. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Pastor Nikki Marker will officiate. Calling is one hour prior to services at the cemetery.
