Description	:	Dean Merlin Huston was born to Vaughn and Ruby (Stocks) Huston. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Maybl Olson June 4, 1950, in Ames. He earned a master's degree in ag. economics at Iowa State University. After graduation from ISU, he worked for Extension services in eastern Iowa in farm management for six years, and worked in manufacturing and distribution of plastics in O.A. Olson Manufacturing, the family-owned business. He was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and Ames Noon Rotary Club; was active in Youth and Shelter Services where he served on the... He is survived by his wife, Maybl, of Ames; three sons: 1. David (Cynthia) of Shawnee, Kansas, 2. George (Jean Murray) of Rochester, Minnesota, 3. Steve (Kristin) Huston of North Liberty, Iowa; Also one sister, Mary Lou Ivey of Huntsville, Ala.; six grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Burial was in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
