Description	:	Dean Stanley Weeder of Loomis, Nebraska, passed away, January 25, 2007 in Holdrege, Nebraska. Dean was born October 14, 1925 on the family farm south of Bertrand in Gosper County, Nebraska, the fourth of nine children of Otto and Esther (Johnson) Weeder. Read More	Dean Stanley Weeder of Loomis, Nebraska, passed away, January 25, 2007 in Holdrege, Nebraska. Dean was born October 14, 1925 on the family farm south of Bertrand in Gosper County, Nebraska, the fourth of nine children of Otto and Esther (Johnson) Weeder. Dean received his education at rural school in Gosper County. Following his education, Dean then served his country as a M.P. in the United States Army during WW II. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal and the Victory Medal. Following the war, Dean engaged in farming in Gosper and Phelps County. On February 28, 1948 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Carroll and to this union five children were born: Pamela, Stanley, Diane, Kathy and David. The family made their home on a farm south of Bertrand until moving to a farm in the Moses Hill Community in 1962. In 1979 the couple moved into Loomis and Dean began his lawn service. On August 27, 1997, Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy. On October 12, 2002 he was united in marriage to Sharon Carpenter at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Loomis. The couple made their home in Loomis where they resided until his death. Dean was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Loomis. He enjoyed coyote hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Dean was very active in his business clearing snow and removing leaves, up to November of 2006, when health issues became difficult. Dean also dearly enjoyed watching his first NASCAR race with his children for his 80th birthday. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Sharon of Loomis; three daughters: Pam Taylor and her husband, Steve of Lincoln, Diane Sikes and her husband, Doug and Kathy Branson all of Holdrege; two sons: Stanley Weeder and his wife, Jane of Atlanta, Nebraska and David Weeder and his wife, Janice of Loomis; seven grandchildren: Derek and Angie Weeder of Atlanta, Amanda Weeder of Easton, Maine, Cory Sikes of Cherry Point, North Carolina, Nicole Dishman of Minden, Nebraska, Natasha Manahan of Bay City, Texas and Ranie Branson of Bay City, Texas; five great-grandchildren; three step-sons: Jerry Carpenter and his wife, Laura of Moberly, Missouri, Terry Carpenter of San Francisco, California and Barry Carpenter and his wife, Gena of Overton, Nebraska; one step-daughter, Rosie Williams and her husband, Mark of Bertrand; fifteen step grandchildren; fourteen step great-grandchildren; three sisters: Devona Frey of Aurora, Colorado, Ruth Finley of Denver, Colorado and Joy Signorino and her husband, Charles of Pennsylvania; one brother, Royal "Bud" Weeder and his wife, Dee of River Heights, Utah and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his first wife, Dorothy he was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Frances Wagner and her husband, Dick; three brothers: John Weeder and his wife, Mary and Mark Weeder, a brother in infancy; one brother-in-law, Merritt Frey.
