Description	:	Lisbon-Deanna Barnes, 88, of Black Rd., passed away peacefully at 7:45am, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Barnes was born March 14, 1927 in St. Clairsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late John B. and Olga C. (Edmiston) Thompson, and had lived her entire life in the area. Deanna worked as a finisher at various local potteries during her younger years and had also worked at the Lisbon Morning Journal for some time. Mrs. Barnes was born March 14, 1927 in St. Clairsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late John B. and Olga C. (Edmiston) Thompson, and had lived her entire life in the area. Deanna worked as a finisher at various local potteries during her younger years and had also worked at the Lisbon Morning Journal for some time. Mrs. Barnes was a faithful member of the Lisbon Assembly of God Church. Her husband, Harold W. Barnes, Sr., whom she married April 13, 1951, preceded her in death July 22, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James W. Thompson, Robert B. Thompson, Richard L. Thompson, Gene C. Thompson and John “Jack” C. Thompson; her sisters, Phylis M. Thompson and Wilma A. Vietmier; her grandsons, Dale Brown, Jr., Edmond Shamp, and Wayne Shamp; and great grandson, Christopher Freeland. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Bonnie (Dave) Cairns and Candace VanDyne, both of Lisbon, Jeanne (Fred) Grace of Cleveland, Kathy (the late Bruce) Close of Lisbon, Mary (Dave) Kinser and Joyce (James) Spack, both of Salem, Alice (James) Grubbs of Leetonia, and Amy (Robert) Cosma of Lisbon; her sons, Gary Ray (Debbie) Barnes and Harold Barnes, Jr., both of Lisbon; her brother, Harry P. Thompson of Industry, PA.; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Lisbon Assembly of God Church, 39442 State Route 517, Lisbon with Rev. Greg Pennington and Rev. Herbert E. DeLong co-officiating. Private burial will take place at the Lisbon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm, Thursday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
