Description	:	Debbie Breeden, 49, of Newburg, died November 20, 2008, at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 24, at the Grinnell United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Jasper County. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell and where the family will be present from 2:00 to 4:00 Sunday afternoon. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Debbie Breeden Memorial Fund. Debbie was born January 27, 1959, in Grinnell, the daughter of Clinton and Arlene Sharp Gifford. She was raised near Kellogg and was a 1977 graduate of Newton High School. Following her education she was employed for several years at G.T.E. On August 4, 1979, she was married to Kevin Breeden, at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church near Kellogg. While Kevin served in the United States Air Force the couple lived in South Dakota, Germany, and Florida. They moved to Kellogg in 1986 prior to settling in Newburg in 1987. Debbie was employed at Food 4 Less in Grinnell for 8 years and later for Subway in Grinnell where she was an assistant manager. For the last 3 years she managed the Subway south of Grinnell near I-80. Debbie loved her animals and enjoyed caring for them. She enjoyed collecting figurines, coffee mugs, steins, and nutcrackers. She also enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, and shopping for crafts. She loved the Christmas Holiday season and shopping at the Disney Store. She was an avid Johnny Bench and Cincinnati Reds baseball fan.
