"DEFRIA SOPHIA PARKER - (Defria is misspelled and should probably be Deborah.) Dephria (misspelled-probably should be Deborah) Sophia Parker was born in Johnson, Ohio, Aug. 20, 1855, and died in Andover at 1 p.m. Tuesday. She became the wife of Philo Tobias January 1, 1873. This union was blessed with ten children, Mrs. Emma Smith, Centerville, Pa.: Mrs. Mina Williams, Miller's Station, Pa.; Asa Tobias, Ashtabula; Mrs. Nellie Warren, who died in Andover June 10, 1902; Marve, Jack Fish, Ontario; Lee of Andover; Leslie, Kinsman; Harry and Lizzie, Andover; Ruth, who died in 1892. Mr. Tobias died in 1899 and afterwards Mrs. Tobias became the wife of Levi York. She was always of the most self sacrificing spirit and a true mother in the highest sense of the word. In her hour of death the children could say that her's had been a kind and loving hand that had guided them through their young life to manhood. The funeral was held from the M.E. church Thursday at 1 p.m., Rev. Boyd conducting the services. Many were the floral tributes and the expressions of love heard from friends and relatives told of the grief that the parting brought."
