Description	:	Decima V. Akers, the daughter of Francis and Anna H. Morris Edwards, was born April 12, 1900 in Audubon County, Iowa and died July 19, 1984 at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 7 days. Decima was baptized at the Exira Christian Church where she was a life-long member. She attended country schools and was graduated from the Exira High School. Akers, the daughter of Francis and Anna H. Morris Edwards, was born April 12, 1900 in Audubon County, Iowa and died July 19, 1984 at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 7 days. Decima was baptized at the Exira Christian Church where she was a life-long member. She attended country schools and was graduated from the Exira High School. After graduation, she taught in the country schools in this area. On July 19, 1923 she married Trilby R. Akers. They farmed in the area until they retired to Exira in the spring of 1975. She remained at her home until shortly before her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister who died in infancy. . She is survived by one brother, Dervis J. Edwards of Audubon, one sister, Hilda O. Edwards of Exira, several cousins, and seven sister-in-laws: Mrs. Harold (Beth)Akers, Lillie Schwarting, Leona Akers, Mary Akers, all of Exira, Betty Akers of Brayton, and Winona Kesselring and Mrs. Ray (Coral) Gibson, both of Ventura, California. .
