Services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 10:00 am at the First United Methodist Church, Holyoke, Colorado. Interment will follow at Holyoke Cemetery. Dela was born to William and Grace Prussman on August 3, 1927. Her Daddy delivered her on the family farmstead near Amherst. Dela was born to William and Grace Prussman on August 3, 1927. Her Daddy delivered her on the family farmstead near Amherst. At the time of her passing, she was a resident of the Carriage House Assisted Living in Holyoke. Dela was a graduate of Phillips County High School with the class of 1944 at the age of sixteen. She married Willard H Hofmeister on March 13, 1947. There were five children from this union. They were divorced in 1985. In 1981 Dela had lived in Onalaska, WI., until moving to Sterling Colorado. Dela had many years enjoying her children and grandchildren. Her favorite activities were reading, embroidering, western shows such as Gunsmoke, and trips to see her grandchildren. Dela will always be remembered for the strength she gave everyone through the power of her love to family and friends. Dela is survived by her four children. She was a very proud Grandma to 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also a brother, Sister-in-Laws, and brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by an Infant baby boy, granddaughter Jennifer Christine Hofmeister, granddaughter Tiffany Heiserman, brothers Dale Prussman and Neal Prussman, sister Lena McGiveney, and her parents William and Grace Prussman. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Dela’s name to Regent Park Nursing Home or First United Methodist Church of Holyoke in care of Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 201, Holyoke, CO 80734.
