Old-Timer Ranks Broken In Death of 'Del' A. Hart The passing of Delbert 'Del' A. Hart, seventy-one, of St. Mary's hospital on Monday morning, March 22, leaves vacant a prominent place in the ranks of the old-timers of this locality. The late Mr. Hart had been ill with influenza for only a week. He was born at Waterloo, Iowa, on February 15, 1866. On reaching man's estate he operated a lumber business in Delmar, Iowa. While one a visit to western Canada in 1903, Mr. Hart bought section sixteen in township forty-six, near Ohaton and this land he retained. In 1906, Mr. Hart bought the lumber yard in Ohaton from James Mohler, which he conducted until 1929 when he sold to the Manning-Sutherland Lumber Co. Ltd. In addition to the lumber interests, Mr. Hart had wide connections in the purchase and sale of farm lands. In 1908 his attention was directed to the buying of livestock, and this was his chief interest in recent years. In 1918 Mr. Hart had a residence built in Camrose which he and his family have since occupied. In 1895 Mr. Hart married Clara Paris of Delmar, Iowa, who survives him. He also leaves two daughters, Mabel (Mrs. Garnet Ranks) of Ponoka and Miss Lela Hart of Camrose. Another daughter, Eva (Mrs. C. H. Robinson) predeceased him in May, 1936. One brother, Elias Hart of Jessup, Iowa, who made a visit to Camrose last year, also survives. There are seven grandchildren. An infant daughter, Susan, predeceased him many years ago.
