He was born on January 16, 1922 in Bloomfield, IA to Glenn and Reva Bales Pottorff. He married Waunetta Fay Carter and they later divorced. He was born on January 16, 1922 in Bloomfield, IA to Glenn and Reva Bales Pottorff. He married Waunetta Fay Carter and they later divorced. Delbert then married Freida Fairley and she passed away in 2001. Delbert was a plumber and pipefitter for Local Union 125 for over fifty years. He loved to garden and there wasn't anything he couldn't grow. Survivors include two daughters, Victoria "Kathy" Pottorff and Karen Pottorff of Burlington; a son, Brian Pottorff of Burlington; three step children; one brother, Bobby (Sandy) Pottorff of Bloomfield, IA; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, second wife and two sisters. There will be a private burial in Charleston Cemetery. No formal visitation or funeral is planned. A memorial has been established for PAW Animal Shelter. King-Lynk Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
