He was raised and attended schools in the North Platte area, where he completed eighth grade. He worked on ranches there until moving to southeastern Mt in 1923. He was raised and attended schools in the North Platte area, where he completed eighth grade. He worked on ranches there until moving to southeastern Mt in 1923. After working several years in the Broadus and Gillette WY, areas, he purchased a homestead on the Little Powder river southeast of Broadus in the early '30's. He and Christine Schmidt were married September 21, 1935, in Miles City. They spent a winter on the ranch, but because of the drought moved in 1936 to Glasgow, then to Miles City and then to AK where "Curly" worked in the Matanuska Valley and in a gold mine. They returned to the ranch at Broadus in 1940 and operated it until 1944 when they sold it and moved to the Dan Strobel place on Cabin Creek where they lived until retiring to Miles City in 1973. Mr. Baggott was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Range Riders, Montana Stock growers and Miles City Senior Citizens.'' Mr. Baggott died at the Friendship Villa in Miles City, where he had lived just a month. He was 85 yeas of age. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Jodell Baggott of Las Vegas NV; and numerous nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
