Prior to 6/11/2019, F.A.G. let me enter the 1851 death date and 1853 marriage date despite the obvious contradiction. Looking at the birth date of her son Isaac Newton Ambrose, 20 December 1853, Delena very likely died from complications of child birth in January 1854. A note found in the George K. Ambrose family Bible reads as follows: “Grandma - Mrs. Geo. Ambrose, raised Newt from three weeks old up.” This indicates that his mother Delena died when he was 3 weeks old making her date of death in January 1854. Delena's husband, James Madison Ambrose James was employed at the B & O Railroad. On 20 December 1855 he lost his life in an accident while working at the B & O -- crushed between two rail cars.
