She married Irving Buchanan in Ellensburg on October 1935 and was the mother of one son, Gary. Her obituary was in the Tacoma News Tribune for 11/20/2010: Delima was born on October 13, 1919 in Moxee, Washington to Napoleon and Roseanna Menard. She was preceded in death by her parents and her 10 siblings. Delima was married at a young age to Irving "Buck" Buchanan. They were married for over 53 years and had one child, 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. Irving preceded her in death in 1988. Delima was known as "Grandma Buck" by everyone who knew her. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved her family and her Catholic faith. Grandma Buck also loved her home, gardening, flowers, visiting with people, her dogs Ninja and Tia, and crocheting for EVERYONE in the family. Grandma was an outstanding cook and took great pride in cooking for her family and friends. She was famous for her Swedish pancakes. She and Papa Buck camped, fished, and traveled the Pacific Northwest with their grandchildren. She had many collections, including angels, spoons, and rocks. Grandma Buck loved to watch the Mariners and the Seahawks, but she especially loved to watch her grandkids play football, volleyball, and other activities. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW for 58 years, and she was involved with numerous charities. Delmina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt. She will be dearly missed by all. We love you! She is survived by her son, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren (listed by name in her obituary). Viewing will be held at Hill Funeral Home in Puyallup on Sunday, 11/21/2010 and Monday, 11/22/2010, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, 11/23/2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Sumner Cemetery.
