Description	:	Della Tayloe-Bishop Della Arminta Tayloe-Bishop, age 99, a 65-year resident of the Colville area, passed away on Aug. 15 in Colville. She was born on Oct. 28, 1901, in Mountain Grove, MO, the daughter of James and Sarah (Bartlett) Adams. She was raised and attended school in Mountain Grove. In September of 1915, at the age of 14, Della married Arvil Tayloe. The couple began their family and farmed in Mountain Grove. Read More	Della Tayloe-Bishop Della Arminta Tayloe-Bishop, age 99, a 65-year resident of the Colville area, passed away on Aug. 15 in Colville. She was born on Oct. 28, 1901, in Mountain Grove, MO, the daughter of James and Sarah (Bartlett) Adams. She was raised and attended school in Mountain Grove. In September of 1915, at the age of 14, Della married Arvil Tayloe. The couple began their family and farmed in Mountain Grove. In 1936, they moved west to the Colville area, where they rented a farm in Echo Valley for three years and then in Arden for six years. Della and Arvil bought a ranch on 12 Mile Road and were diversified in both crops and raising livestock. Arvil passed away in 1964. Della then sold the ranch and moved into Colville. In 1971, she married a long-time friend, Roy Bishop, and the couple resided in Colville. Roy preceded Della in death in 1976. Della enjoyed sewing, crochet, quilting, gardening (especially flowers) and reading. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking and the many lunches she made and shared with her family throughout the years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beulah Wooley-Farmer; three sons, Ruben Tayloe, Jack Tayloe, and Arvil Tayloe Jr.; three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two daughters, 14 grandchildren, one great-great-great grandchild. A private family ash burial will be held at the Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville. Memorial contributions can be given to the Shrine Hospital for Children. Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Colville Statesman Examiner - August 22, 2001 - page 6
