Her funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at Tulare United Church. Reverend Cori Waisanen will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery near Tulare. Visitation will be Friday from 1-8 p.m. with the family present from 5-7 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Della Belle was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Tulare to Clarence and Iona (Root) Binger. She graduated from Tulare School in 1952 and worked at Folgelson Hardware, after graduation, as a bookkeeper and clerk. Della Belle married Gerald Binger on March 1, 1953, at the United Methodist Church in Tulare. Gerald was inducted into the United States Army in May 1953. Della Belle followed Gerald to Arkansas, Texas, and Alaska. After Gerald's discharge in 1955, they returned and farmed near Tulare until 1997, when they retired and moved into Tulare. Della Belle enjoyed gardening, camping with friends, cooking, crafts and needlework. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Tulare United Church, women's group and Bible study, American Legion Auxiliary and TOPS. She also served on the election board. Della Belle is survived by her husband Gerald of Tulare, five children: Rick, Randy and Wayne (Doreen) Binger of Tulare; Karen Kohnen of Aberdeen; and Kevin (Sandra) Binger of Selmer, Tenn.; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters: Alice (Bruce) Mac Neill of Tulare, Maxine Boyd of Pipestone, Minn., and Marlene Walton of Carter Lake, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harvey, her sister Ruby Meyer and an infant brother, Dale. Casketbearers will be her grandchildren: Teresa Cass, Melissa Weisbeck, Justin Binger, Jason Binger, Jessica Kroll, Daniel Kohnen, Dustin Binger, Jennifer Binger, Kevin C. Binger, Shannon LeFebvre, Scott Binger and Shane Binger. Published in the Aberdeen News on 11/4/2006.
