DELLA GARLOCK DIES AT BRASHEAR -NEVER SEPARATED FROM MOTHER WHO DIED SAME DAY Brashear, Mo., Jan. 6 - Mrs. Della Garlock, 68 years of age, died suddenly at the family home in Brashear Tuesday afternoon, just 8 1/2 hours after the death of her mother, Mrs. Mary Collins from whom had never been separated. Mrs. Collins died at the Garlock home yesterday morning from the affirmatives of old age. She was 91 years old. Mrs. Garlock had been in failing health the past year, but was able to be up and around her home all the time. Her sudden death was attributed to shock and grief over the death of her mother. Mrs. Garlock was the daughter of John J. and Mary (Green) Collins. She was their only child and had never been separated from her mother her entire life. She was born in Tecumseh, Indiana on Apr. 28, 1884. She moved with her parents to Brashear in 1912. Her father died in 1917, and on Jan. 5, 1920 she was married to Frank Garlock, who survives her. There were no children. Mrs. Collins continued to make her home with her daughter after her daughter's marriage to Mr. Garlock. Mrs. Garlock was a member of the Christian Church. Double funeral services will be held for Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Garlock Thursday afternoon at the Easley Funeral Home in Brashear. The bodies will then be taken to Douds, Iowa, their former home, for burial.
