Read More	Della Mae Varney Miller of Kenansville, Florida, formerly of Muscatine, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Muscatine, Iowa, at a later date. Della was born on June 30, 1931, the daughter of Robert and Wanda Varney. She graduated from Muscatine High School, class of 1950. Della married Roy A. Miller on January 3, 1953. Della worked at the Muscatine Journal from 1952 until 1960, from Model Laundry from 1962 until 1965, and then went on to run her own business, Della's Paper and Painting from 1965 until 2005. She and Roy moved to Kenansville, Florida, in 2004. She enjoyed calling Bingo three nights a week, but what she enjoyed the most was spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She also loved just riding her golf cart around the community where she got the nick name "The Mayor", and visiting with everyone. She never met a stranger she didn't know. She was also a member of the local church. Della is survived by two children, LaVoy Goreham and husband, David, of Muscatine, Iowa, and Karen Brandon and husband, Robert, of Aledo, Illinois; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Korthaus of Mission, Texas; a brother, Richard Varney of Long Beach, California; along with many nieces and nephews, and lots of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; one son, Randy Miller; and three brothers, Tom, Stephan, and Robert Varney.
