She was born June 1, 1928 at Richland, the daughter of Isaac and Opal Shoemaker McCracken. She married Donald L. Collins, Aug. 15, 1947, at Farmington. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1999. She graduated from Farmington High School, lived near Douds, in Fairfield, moved to Bonaparte in 1981 and to Indianola in 2000. She was a farm homemaker, school bus driver and interior decorator and had operated the bath house and concession at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park. She is survived...
