Description	:	Della (Nelson) Fouts was born on April 16, 1923, to Asher W. and Selma Marie (Rustin) Nelson in Dunlap, Iowa. Della graduated from Dunlap High School. Della married Ray Fouts on November 2, 1946, in Troy, Kansas. The couple lived in Dunlap and then moved to Denison where Della worked for the Ye Auld's Flower Shop and Greenhouse for over 20 years, and Ray worked for the Denison Police Department. Read More	Della (Nelson) Fouts was born on April 16, 1923, to Asher W. and Selma Marie (Rustin) Nelson in Dunlap, Iowa. Della graduated from Dunlap High School. Della married Ray Fouts on November 2, 1946, in Troy, Kansas. The couple lived in Dunlap and then moved to Denison where Della worked for the Ye Auld's Flower Shop and Greenhouse for over 20 years, and Ray worked for the Denison Police Department. The couple moved back to Dunlap in 1982. Della was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Dunlap, where she was the treasurer for over 20 years and active in WELCA. Della loved to garden, cook, can, sew, and crochet. In her early years Della won a Jitterbug contest. She liked old country music and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Della died on Monday, September 2, 2008, at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunlap, Iowa at the age of 85 years, four months, and 17 days. Della was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Fouts on July 23, 2006; six brothers, Gifford, Kenneth, Willis, Leo, Marvin and Dewey Nelson. She is survived by her son, Kirlyn Fouts of Peyton, Colorado; daughter ArmaRe Fouts and fiancée Nicholas Jones of Mason City, Iowa; six grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister, Wilma Clements of Dunlap, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Nelson of Woodbine, Iowa and Sharon Scott of Council Bluffs, Iowa and many other relatives and friends.
