Description	:	The Funeral Service for DeLora Olson, age 90 of Mott, will be held at 2:00 p.m. MDT Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mott. Pastor John Amundson will officiate with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery at Mott. All friends and family are considered honorary bearers. A memorial has been established. DeLora J. Olson was born June 14, 1920 in Lemmon, SD to John and Doris (Evans) Gilbert. She attended elementary school in Burt, ND and graduated from Mott High School. After earning a teaching degree at Dickinson State, she taught in the rural Hettinger County school system for a few years. On October 14, 1944, she married Chester Olson and they made their home on the Olson farmstead in Adams County. In 1953, they moved to Mott where she spent her time as a homemaker taking care of her 5 children. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, an active member of the church circles, and a member of the Cannonball Senior Citizens. Her hobbies included quilting, sewing on her Singer sewing machine, playing cards with family and friends, picnics, and attending softball and baseball games of her sons and grandchildren. She entered the Mott Good Samaratian Nursing Center on March 16, 2009. DeLora passed away on Monday morning, July 12, 2010 at the Mott Good Samaritan Nursing Center. Grateful for having shared her life are 1 daughter, Marlene and her husband Dale Ottmar, Sioux Falls, SD; 3 sons, Duane Olson and his wife Noreen, Douglas Olson and his wife Cheryl, and Gayle Olson and his wife Jodi,all of Mott, ND; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. DeLora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Chester; a son, Floraine; 3 brothers, John Jr., Arnold, and Gayle Gilbert; and one sister, Mabel Hoffman. Visitation will be Tuesday 1:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday morning from 9:00 am to 12 noon at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott.
