Delores Angelen Spencer was born March 16, 1931, at Arlington, South Dakota, to Delbert and Agnes (Brudvig) Spencer. Delores grew up in the De Smet area, where she attended school. Delores "Dee" Corbin was united in marriage to Kenneth D. Corbin on August, 20, 1948 at St. Paul, Minnesota. The couple farmed in Kingsbury and Miner Counties for many years. Ken passed away on May 31, 1986. Besides raising her family, Dee enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, cooking, playing cards, dancing, feeding the wild birds around the farm, feeding and taking care of her cats, and having her family around her, especially her grandchildren. Those grateful for having shared in her life include her two sons: Lonny (Peggy) and Lowell (Jan) both of Madison; three daughters: Linda Geyer and her special friend Rodney Zell of Iroquois, SD; Diane (Don) Scovel of Colorado, Springs, CO and Vicki (Charles) Rostyne of Carthage; 15 grandchildren: Kerry, Amanda, Dawn, Ben, Reina, Leslie, Corinne, Wade, Shane, Cale, Jeremiah, Spencer, Justin, Elliot, Vince; 23 great grandchildren: Jerauld, Garrett, Kylie, Colton, Jayce, Lindsey, Wesley, Alexandria, Emily, Henry, Gus, Stella, Claire, Marisa, Hayden, Cooper, Avery, Bryer, Corbyn, Penelope, Phoebe, Triston, Tayte; one great-great grandchild: Kierra; Dee's special friend: Lester Hass and his children; a brother: Junior (Marcie) Spencer of Huron, SD; two sisters: Marie (Howard) Blachford of Orient, SD and Mary (Bernie) Tyrell of Sioux Falls, SD; her nieces & nephews, and other relatives & friends. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth (1986), an infant daughter Dawn (1958), two sisters: Peggy Lorenz(1976) and Gracie Lorenz (2010), and a brother Richard Spencer (2011).
