Read More	(Delores) Carol Stover was born February 12, 1933 in Mankato to Carl and Lucille Loomis and passed away in her home on April 2, 2015. She is predeceased by her parents, and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Stover. She is survived by her husband John of the home, two daughters Marcia Linton of Ellsworth; Carla McPeak and her husband Marty of Glen Elder, and three sons Greg Linton of Cawker City; Kevin Stover and his wife Denise of Concordia and David Stover and his wife Lynda of Harveyville. A sister, Loretta Terry and her husband Ray of Glen Elder.Twelve grandchildren: Cara (Tim) Hall, Holly (Moses) Osborne, Lacy Porter, Tiffany (Brad) Schroeder, Trevor (Sarah) Linton, Zachary (Leslie) Stover, Jessica Stover, Michelle (Ron) Dubbert, Jeff (Lindsay) McPeak, Kelly (Andy) Schardt, John W. Stover and Lauren Stover; 21 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. She was dedicated to being a wife and mother. Her family was her pride and joy, considering it her greatest accomplishment and she remained actively involved in the lives of all the children and grandchildren. She was especially fond of and proficient at piano, having enjoyed playing since starting at the age of 4. One of her fondest activities was playing the piano as the family members each chose their favorite Christmas Carol for her to play as they sang. Traditionally, the final song was her choice, being her favorite Silent Night. While she was able, Carol always had a big garden. Tending the garden and canning were always in her summer activities. Having the kids help was sometimes a challenge but they always enjoyed the fruits of her labor. She had many joyful hours of playing bridge with her friends in the Glen Elder and Cawker City area. Carol and John would spend many evenings playing bridge, laughing and bonding friendships. In her later years, she missed bridge, and always wished she could have continued. Funeral services were held 1:30 PM Monday, April 6 at the Glen Elder Christian Church followed by burial in Athens Cemetery.
