Description	:	Dolores Cleo Clark Rasmusson, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at St. John's Lutheran Home, Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, after a bout with pneumonia. She will be so greatly missed by her family and all her friends and will always live in our hearts. Dolores was born Oct. 5, 1915, in Custer, the first child of Elizabeth (Betty) and James Witham. Read More	Dolores Cleo Clark Rasmusson, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at St. John's Lutheran Home, Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, after a bout with pneumonia. She will be so greatly missed by her family and all her friends and will always live in our hearts. Dolores was born Oct. 5, 1915, in Custer, the first child of Elizabeth (Betty) and James Witham. Two sons were added to the family, Jimmy and Charles. Dolores was a natural musician and became a very talented pianist, playing for dances at a young age. She met her future husband, Clare Clark, who took violin lessons from her father. They married May 13, 1933. Dolores and Clare had a daughter, Patricia Jean, born Aug. 30, 1934. The family lived in Billings for many years. Dolores and Clare moved to Absarokee and Red Lodge for 16 years, where they bought a ranch with their daughter and her husband. They moved back to Billings to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren, Diane and Mark, after Clare retired. Clare and Dolores were very active in the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. Dolores was organist for her Eastern Star Chapter and the Daughters of the Nile, and organist at her church. They also joined the Happy Fiddlers and played for nursing homes, senior citizen groups, and anyone who requested their special music. Clare became ill and passed away in 1989, after they had celebrated their 55th anniversary. Some years later, Dolores met Bernard "Bernie" Rasmusson, another talented musician and violin player. After a courtship, they married July 18, 2001. They joined the Montana Old Time Fiddlers and their music brought them so much enjoyment. Bernie had a heart attack and passed away Nov. 29, 2003. Dolores moved to an apartment at Chapel Court, St. John's Lutheran Home. She still enjoyed playing and she and her good friend, Gladys Burns, and other members of the Old Time Fiddlers played for the residents of Chapel Court until she became ill. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Jerry Glenn, Billings; grandchildren, Diane (Alan) Banks, and Mark Helgeson, both of Washoe Valley, Nev.; sisters-in-law, Flo Haughey of Billings and Liz Witham of Seattle; stepdaughters, Linda (Jerry) Pratzel of Salem, Ore., and Laurie (Ron) Caswell of Billings; and several nieces and nephews. God gave Dolores a wonderful gift in her music and it has truly been a gift to everyone who heard this extremely talented woman play such beautiful music for us to enjoy. The family thanks Dr. Stephen Shaub for his compassionate care and all the loving staff at Chapel Court and Rimview Nursing who cared for Dolores. Memorials may be made to Chapel Court at St. John's. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.michelottisawyers.com.
