Mrs. Koster, 74, of Auburn, died Saturday, April 1, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. The Rev. Mark Harrington officiated at the service. Burial was at St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Auburn. Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City was in charge of arrangements. Born Oct. 1, 1925, in Breda, she was a daughter of Anton and Helena (Neppl) Bachman. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1943. On Nov. 4, 1947, she married Edgar Koster at St. Mary Catholic Church in Auburn. They lived in Breda for 11 years, Stacyville, Iowa, for 22 years, Clinton, Ark., for 11 years and Auburn for the past 11 years. Mrs. Koster was a homemaker and a day trader. She was active in Rosary Makers, the senior citizens congregate-meal program and St. Mary Church Circle. She also was a New Hope volunteer. Mrs. Koster is survived by her husband, Edgar, of Auburn; five daughters, Karen Cain of Janesville, Wis., Jane Koster of Minneapolis, Minn., Nancy Teasdale of Edina, Minn., Kristy Koster of Ames and Mary Koster of Minneapolis, Minn.; five sons, Mark Koster of Sac City, Daniel Koster of Bridgeport, Texas, Dale Koster of Casper, Wyo., Paul Koster of Chaska, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and six brothers, Omar, Cletus and Duane Bachman, all of Auburn, Raphael Bachman of Escondido, Calif., Edwin Bachman of Prineville, Ore. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Koster, in 1988; and a sister, Marilyn Bachman, at birth in 1939.
