Description	:	Delores Jean Petersen, the daughter of Albert and Agnes (Petersen) Andersen, was born at her parents home near Marquette, Nebraska, on April 8, 1929, and died at her home east of Marquette, on February 7, 1998, at the age of 68 years, 9 months, and 29 days. She grew up in the Marquette and Kronborg community, and graduated from Marquette High School in 1946. Read More	Delores Jean Petersen, the daughter of Albert and Agnes (Petersen) Andersen, was born at her parents home near Marquette, Nebraska, on April 8, 1929, and died at her home east of Marquette, on February 7, 1998, at the age of 68 years, 9 months, and 29 days. She grew up in the Marquette and Kronborg community, and graduated from Marquette High School in 1946. She then attended Grand View College, at Des Moines, Iowa, and received an associate degree in Liberal Arts. Her degree was presented in 1996. She returned to the Marquette area and was employed by the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce a short time, and was later employed by Countryman and Associates Accounting Firm until her marriage. On June 4, 1950, she was united in marriage to Raymond Petersen at St. John's Lutheran Church at Kronborg. After their marriage they moved to Seattle, Washington, where she was employed by Westinghouse Corporation. In 1953, they moved back to the Kronborg area and began farming operations, and she began helping her husband in his trade of floor covering and formica. They eventually attained the distinction of being one of the first husband and wife floor covering teams in a wide area. Delores was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Kronborg, served as church organist and was a youth sponsor. She was also a leader of Danish Folk Dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband Raymond of Hampton; two sons Lyle and his wife Connie of Lincoln, and Clinton and his wife Fayne of Marquette; one brother Ardean Andersen and his wife Annebell of Marquette; 5 grandchildren, Jason, Dara, and Kellen Petersen, and Tiffany and Traci Blehm, and numerous nieces and nephews.
