Dee grew up in Sprague where she attended Sprague-Martell (Central) High School. She played volleyball, softball and was a cheerleader. Dee was a graduate with the Class of 1956. She worked at Farm Bureau Insurance for 5 years. On July 21, 1959, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Wilke at Calvary United Methodist Church in Lincoln. To this union two children were born, Roger and Jacki. After marriage Dee became a homemaker for her children. The couple lived in Lincoln until 1985 when they moved to Staplehurst. Dee was active in the Parent Teacher Association Club when the children were younger. She was family oriented and loved all of her nieces, nephews and neighborhood kids. Dee was very sensitive and caring. She never missed any of her children’s sporting events, music or theater productions. She also loved her grandchildren very much. Dee was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Lincoln for many years. She enjoyed camping, playing cards and working on crafts. She was a member of the Staplehurst Women’s Club. Dee’s cousins were very special to her and they still met monthly. Dee was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, David Brooks Wilke; two brothers, Elmer and Donnie Bargman; two sisters, Betty Kadavy and Mildred Lance. She is survived by her husband, Bob Wilke, Staplehurst; son, Roger Wilke and wife Shirley, York; daughter, Jacki Allensworth and husband Mark, Lincoln; four grandchildren, Rebecca Wilke, Russell Wilke, Chad Allensworth and Kylie Allensworth; great grandson, Ryker Lee Wilke; sister, LaVern Hyde, Staplehurst; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rich and JoAnn Wilke, Kearney; two sisters-in-law, Kay Wilke, Phoenix, AZ, and Debra Seibert, Lincoln, numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
