Description	:	DELORISE JANE (WORKMAN) PINCARD DeLorise (Jensen) Pinckard was born July 5,1933 in her grandma Holt's house in Haigler, NE and went to be with her Heavenly Father January 17, 2018 at Hillcrest Care Center in Wray, CO. DeLorise was the first-born child of Permilia and Roy Workman, the oldest of 11 children, following are her brothers and sisters in order as they were born; Charlie (deceased), Judy (Minton), Don who lives is Garland, TX (suburb of Dallas), twins Rodney (deceased) and Ronnie, twins Darlene and Marlene who both live in Eckley, Katie Walker who lived in Iowa (deceased) and twins Donna Wiggins who lived in Benkelman, NE (deceased) and Dennis who lives in Haxtun. With her being the oldest, she grew up fast, preparing meals at a young age and helping to care for the little ones as they came along. She went to Haigler School through the 11th grade and finished her senior year in Max, NE. Her best friend throughout her school years was Ellen (Tracy) Seinder who continued to write cards to her up until the last three months when she got ill. DeLorise married Dean Jensen in Trenton, NE September 1951 and they lived in Max, NE for a couple of years and had Deanna. Before Deanna was a year old they moved south of Julesburg, CO for a short time and then moved further south of Holyoke and (about 20 miles north of Laird) to the Hodges Ranch where Dean managed the ranch and there were always hired hands so DeLorise cooked for extra guys for about 9 years. She was an excellent cook and always got many compliments on her meals. One of the hired hands being Jim Blake who ended up in Timeless Meadows a couple of years after she was there!! While living on the ranch, Dalylene (Carlton) who lives in Indio, CA and David who lives in Brighton, CO came into the family. DeLorise's brother, Don, lived with them for several years also working on the ranch. DeLorise always had a variety of flowers growing plus always had a large vegetable garden where she grew many vegetables to be canned. She also raised chickens and each spring would get about 200 baby chicks and a few weeks each summer would butcher about 150 chickens with the neighbors, (Raymond and) Irene Anderson and their girls and they would also get about 200 baby chicks and would alternate days butchering chickens at each other's house and fill their freezers. DeLorise also was an excellent seamstress and sewed the majority of her family's clothes. DeLorise and Irene were best friends and the families did many things together, celebrate birthdays together with birthday cakes and ice cream, get together and play board games or play cards or Whahoo (a marble game), go grocery shopping together to Wray, go together to Laird church every Sunday and many other things. In 1962 Dean and DeLorise moved their family into Laird where DeLorise picked up again with a large vegetable garden and many flowers. The relationship with the Anderson family continued until Raymond past away in 1979. Then their visits slowed down, but they were still in touch with Irene until she passed from Alzheimer's in 2011. While living in Laird, their home was open to family and friends who needed a place to stay for a few days or longer and over the years, there were many that they helped. DeLorise sold Avon for many years after they moved to Laird. Then in the late 70s she started working in the Assessor's Office at the Court House. Dean passed away June 5, 1984. She stayed on the place in Laird and worked at the court house until 1993 when she married Willard Pinckard and moved into Wray in 1993. Again she had many flowers and a vegetable garden although not the size she had when she had a family. She enjoyed her life with Willard and did some traveling to Hawaii and Panama Canal to name a couple of places. She was member of the Laird Methodist Church with teaching the little ones for several years and until it closed and then transferred her membership to the Wray Methodist Church. She was a member of the Rebecca's. DeLorise also enjoyed reading the Reader's Digest books, doing puzzles, playing solitaire and crocheting in her spare time. Family, grandchildren and friends were always important to her. She and Willard were also in a group of couples Pitch card party for several years and played Aggravation, which is a marble game, until Willard suddenly passed away in 2006. DeLorise enjoyed a few road trips with her good friend, Blance DeVore after Willard passed away. DeLorise is survived by her children, Deanna Oster (Rich) of Littleton, CO, Dalylene Carlton (Hugh Bergene) of Indio, CA and David Jensen (Lyudmyla) of Brighton, CO. Brothers, Don Workman (Diose) of Garland, TX, Ronnie Workman of Wray and Dennis Workman (Jeanette) of Haxtun, CO, sisters, Judy Minton of Wray, Darlene Workman of Eckley, Marlene Minton of Eckley, CO. Sister-in-laws, Frances Workman of Wray, CO and Daisy Jensen of Max, NE. Grandchildren, Kara Voss from Indio, CA, Joshua Voss of Indio, CA, Eric Wolfe of Costa Mesa, CA, Derek Jensen (Stephanie) of Fort Morgan, CO and Philip Jensen of Wray, CO. Step grandchildren, Oksana Ivanchenko of Greeley, Co and Mikhail Ivanchenko of Simferopol, God-given granddaughters, Sarah Thomas (Jarrid) of Bennett, CO, Amanda Behny of Morrison, CO and Katrina Mattingly (Marcus) of San Tan Valley, AZ. Great-grandchildren Dylan Logan (Maria Gaxiola) of Indio, CA and Cheyenne Jensen of Fort Morgan, Claire Thomas of Bennett, CO, Alyssa and Evan Vermeys of Morrison, CO and Caleb and Sarah Mattingly of San Tan Valley, AZ, and one great, great grandchild, Jacob Logan of Indio, CA. Also, a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Permilia Workman, her first husband, Dean Jensen, second husband, Willard Pinckard, brothers Charlie Workman, Rodney Workman, sisters, Katie Walker, Donna Wiggins, grandson, Stephen Zeigler. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Visitation was held on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home in Wray, Colorado. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at the Wray United Methodist Church in Wray, Colorado with Pastor Ben Wentworth officiating.
