Description	:	Delvin "Del" Hugh Carver son of Delmer Earl and Mary Snivley Carver. Del graduated from Clarinda High School and earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Drake University. Del served in the U. S. Army during WW II and then in the Army National Guard, retiring in July of 1983. While attending Drake University Del met Leona Halberg, and upon graduating they were married in a chapel in Des Moines, Iowa and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last year. Del had a long and successful career as a music teacher. He never had to apply for a job - schools... Read More	Delvin "Del" Hugh Carver son of Delmer Earl and Mary Snivley Carver. Del had a long and successful career as a music teacher. He never had to apply for a job - schools sought him out. He developed some life long friendships with some of his musical students. Del never forgot a friend. Del was a member of the Clarinda and Nodaway Masonic Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Burlington Junction American Legion. Del is survived by his wife of 60 years: Leona Mae Halberg Carver of Maryville, MO Son David Carver and daughter-in-law to be Tina Lynch of St. Charles, MO Preceded in death by: Parents Delmer Earl and Mary Snivley Carver.
