Description	:	WALNUT COVE, NC ~ Mr. Delwood Hill, 69, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at his residence. He was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Stokes County to John Hampton and Louella Tuttle Hill. He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed farming and had attended Willow Oak Baptist Church. He worked as a machine operator with R.J. He was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Stokes County to John Hampton and Louella Tuttle Hill. He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed farming and had attended Willow Oak Baptist Church. He worked as a machine operator with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. for 27 years and worked at the Brook Cove Plant for another 10 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Hatcher. He is survived by his son, Randy (Angie) Hill, of Walnut Cove; four sisters, Doris (Rayvon) Lawson of King, Rebecca Hill of Walnut Cove, Mary (Joe) Fulp of Danbury and Linda (Garland) Wright of Walnut Cove; three brothers, Leon (Josephine) Hill of Pine Hall, John (Becky) Hill Jr. of Madison and Garland (Ann) Hill of Walnut Cove; three grandchildren, Lisha Hill, Samantha Hill and Megan Anderson; and a great-grandson, Evan Templeton. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at Burroughs Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Palmyra United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening, March 29, at the funeral home, and other times at Delwood's residence.
