Description	:	Mrs. Demarious Denny, who lived at 715 Market, died at 3 o'clock Sunday morning at the Newman Memorial County hospital after sickness of three days. Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the community building at Geneva, Kan. Rev. Swanger will conduct the services and burial will be in the Geneva cemetery. Mrs. Denny, whose maiden name was Demarious Emrich, was born March 25, 1867 in Warren county, Illinois. She came to Kansas in 1877, the family settling in Colony. Mrs. Denny, whose maiden name was Demarious Emrich, was born March 25, 1867 in Warren county, Illinois. She came to Kansas in 1877, the family settling in Colony. On May 31, 1885, she was married to James Denny, in Colony. Mr. Denny died in March 1917 and Mrs. Denny moved to Emporia five years ago. Mrs. Denny is survived by two daughters, Mrs. F. L. Boone, 715 Market, and Mrs. Grace Irwin, of Chanute. Two sons, Guy and Ernest Denny, preceded her in death. Emporia Gazette June 2, 1941 pg. 1 --- Word was received here Monday morning by Mrs. Sarah Leavitt of the death of Mrs. Maymie Denney, a former Geneva resident. For the past several years Mrs. Denney had been in ill health and had made her home in Emporia, with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Boone and family.
