Dena Siebens was born March 22, 1887, in Reip, Germany. She came to America as a child to Minonk, Ill., later moving to Plymouth county. In recent years she has lived with children in California in the winter, returning to her Brunsville home for the summer months. Her marriage to Ben Fischer took place in 1897 in Preston township near Akron. Her parents were the late Eilt and Frances (Satthoff or Saathoff) Siebens. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. James (Minnie) Schamahorn of Le Mars, Mrs. Herman (Anna) Weyen of Craig, Mrs. Euben (Tillie) Bartlett of California, Mrs. Max (Henna) Utesch of Brunsville and Mrs. Robert (Lucy) Wilson of San Bernadinop three sons, Ben Fischer of Chino, Calif, Harm Fischer of San Bernandino and William Fischer, Laguna Beach, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Johnson and Mrs. Minnie Borchers, both of Le Mars. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, who died in May, 1929; two daughters, Tillie, 1906, and Mary, 1948; three brothers and two sisters. She was a member of st.
