Description	:	Dennis “Denny” Dale Gay, 68, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017 in hospice at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born December 23, 1948 in Columbia City, he was the son of Dale L. Gay and Orpha (Watson) Gay. He attended Columbia City Joint High School where he played football. Read More	Dennis “Denny” Dale Gay, 68, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017 in hospice at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born December 23, 1948 in Columbia City, he was the son of Dale L. Gay and Orpha (Watson) Gay. He attended Columbia City Joint High School where he played football. On January 27, 1967 Denny married Deborah J. Baker at Grace Lutheran Church. At the age of 13, he started working with his dad at the family filling station on Van Buren, Dale’s Service Station. After his dad passed in 1978, he worked on tractors for about a year, drove semis, and later, he and his wife purchased Due’s Restaurant in Columbia City and during that time was talked into selling cars. He would go on to sell at Kelley Chevrolet and for over 20 years at Thompson Chevrolet, retiring in 2010. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Debbie Gay; mother, Orpha (Watson) Gay, of Columbia City; children, Troy (Angie) Gay, of Warsaw, Jodi (Kris) Parnell, of Columbia City and Jade (Heather Deckard) Gay, of Wolf Lake; sister, Trudy (Louie) Mosley, of Columbia City; sister-in-law, Kathy Gay, of Columbia City; and grandchildren, Chase (Magda) Parnell, Bryce Parnell, Maya Gay and Zack Powers.
