Main St. Osceola, IA 50213 Dennis Dwayne Morris, son of Orval Samuel Morris and Mary Bromley Morris was born January 2, 1941 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his home in Osceola at 72 years of age. Dennis received his education in Osceola graduating from Osceola High School in 1959. He was united in marriage to Frances Utley and they were the parents of three daughters, Denise, Daina and Dwaun. Dennis was later married to Sheryl Verlynn May on September 9, 1976 at Osceola, Iowa and they were the parents of another daughter, Shanda. Dennis spent most of his life working as a farmer raising hogs, cattle and crops. However, he could also be seen in later years working at Andrew Auto Supply, Swine Graphics, and Clarke Community Schools. Most recently he has been working Security at Lakeside Casino in Osceola. Dennis has been a member of the FFA, Do Si Do Square Dance Club in Osceola, PBA (Professional Bowlers Association) and also spent time in years past with his father and Slim VanDyke playing pool at the pool hall in Osceola. Dennis was an avid collector of pocket knives and John Deere Tractors. He loved bowing for the McBroom constructions team and traveling to tournaments through the years as well as hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandkids, mushroom hunting, camping at the Old Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant and reading Zane Grey and Louis LaMour books. However, most of all Dennis felt that it was important that he was a good role model for his children and grandchildren. Those relatives who preceded Dennis in death were his father, Orval; wife, Sheryl Verlynn Morris, sons-in-law, Donald Ruth and Todd Estell; and granddaughter, Janessa Annmarie Hiatt.
