Description	:	Dennis Harrington (Ryan Reporter) The death of Dennis Harrington occurred Saturday morning, January 25, at 3 o'clock at St. Francis' hospital in Waterloo. Denny had been afflicted with high blood pressure during the past year and had consulted several able physicians without getting relief, and on Tuesday last week he went to Waterloo. An X-ray examination revealed the fact that the main artery leading to the heart was enlarged and nothing could be done to relieve it. Dennis Harrington was born at Galena, Ill, February 2nd, 1869, and came to Hazel Green township with his parents when two years of age. On September 1, 1898, he was united in marriage at Earlville, Iowa, to Miss Anna McElmeel. He is survived by his wife and five children. Gerald, Mildred, Marie, Harold and Howard, also two brothers and four sisters. The news of the death of Denny Harrington was received here with genuine sorrow and surprise as no one deemed his condition to be so serious. He was a man who was well known throughout the county and where he was counted as one of our best citizens. His disposition was most cheerful one and he always had a cheerful word and a happy greeting for any of his acquaintances. He was a charitable, upright man, thorough member of the Catholic faith and was a leader in any project looking toward the betterment of the church of the up building of the community at large. His death came as a great shock to his wife and children, and they have the sympathy of a wife circle of friends.
