Read More	Dennis Geiken went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2018 at the Sanford Heart Hospital after complications with an aneurysm surgery. Dennis was born in Lennox, SD on October 2, 1936 to Charles and Ruth (DeNeui) Geiken. He spent his early years attending a small school in Ellis, SD and graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls. Dennis met the love of his life, Pearl Roozenboom in a small coffee shop in the lower level of the downtown Sunshine Grocery store. Dennis and Pearl were united in marriage on October 9, 1957. Dennis and Pearl spent most of their lives in the Sioux Falls area and where blessed with three sons, Gary, Doug, and Dan. Dennis was a self-proclaimed “Garbologist” owning his own garbage business ‘Dennis’s Garbage’, until retiring in 2001. Dennis was a tireless worker but loved to have coffee and always had time to listen to your problems. He treated everyone he met with the same respect and humility no matter what their status in life was. You could not find very many places that someone did not know him and love him. When he was not working he loved to rebuild cars and spend time with his family and friends. There was nothing in his life that was more important to him than his love for the Lord. His love for God was always evident in the way he treated everyone who crossed his path. He will be greatly missed. Grateful for sharing his life is his wife for over 60 years, Pearl; three sons Gary (Jane), Doug (Shelly), Dan (Missy); seven grandchildren, Brittany, Ashely, Jessica (Dustan), Nick (Meghan), Chelsea (Cameron), Brook, Gunner; six great grandchildren and a sister, Deanna. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church. A private family burial will precede the service. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Heritage Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. - Heritage Funeral Home
